Get to Know Your Customers Day is observed annually on the third Thursday of each quarter. This is a day we reach out to our customers and get to know them a little better.
Today, we’re talking with Steve Murray, Director of Purchasing at Trible’s, Inc.
Can you tell us a bit about your company?
Trible’s, Inc. is a family owned company, established in the late 1930’s. The Trible family however, has been in the appliance industry since the late 1800’s. Our current president and CEO, Preston Trible, is a fourth generation Trible. The company is headquartered in Upper Malboro, Maryland, and currently employs more than 250 people in now 31 locations extending from Maine to Georgia.
Who are your customers, and in which type of industry do they use Dundas Jafine products?
Our Dundas Jafine customers are primary services, consumers and property managers. The quality of the product that Dundas Jafine offers as well as its attractive packaging is exceptional. Both traits make it only an easy sale, but also repeat sales.
Is there a specific project that you are particularly proud of? Can you tell us about it?
We, as a company, are extremely proud of our steady growth through the years. Thirty years ago, when I first began working at Trible’s, we had six locations. We just recently opened our 31st branch in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our culture has always been to put the customer and their needs first, undoubtedly, has played a huge role in our success.
Hockey or Football? Which team?
Definitely football…and definitely the Washington Redskins! In fact, Trible’s shared a building with the Redskins at one point!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Play golf and spend time with the family, especially “spoiling” the grand kids.
